Damage Prevention and Safety Seminars

Through the Damage Prevention and Safety Partnership, Arizona 811 collaborates with a diverse group of underground facility owners and operators, professional contractor associations and state enforcement officials to provide comprehensive seminars through a VIRTUAL platform and throughout Southern Arizona, the Metro Phoenix Region, Northern Arizona and the Mohave Valley year-round. Each seminar lasts 2.5 hours and covers these topics:

  • The Arizona 811 Process
  • Working safely around underground and overhead utilities (electricity; and transmission and distribution lines for natural and liquid gases)
  • Complying with Arizona law (A.R.S. 40-360.21-32) and understanding common utility marking symbols.
Virtual Seminars are free and participants learn how to protect themselves from serious injuries; prevent damage to the underground utilities we rely on every day; and protect their company or agency from incurring fines, damage-repair costs and reimbursements to businesses because of service interruptions.
